Reserve Malibu

Malibu was re-created in 2023 by our family, who have been coming to Bawley Point since the 1980s and have owned Malibu since 2005.

Working with award-winning architects @watershedarchitects and local builder Mick Skwarko, they designed and built a home that integrates with its environment — featuring floor-to-ceiling glass, generous living spaces, and interiors that feel calm, natural, and refined.

Every detail has been considered: a kitchen designed for entertaining, bedrooms for rest and retreat, and spaces that flow seamlessly from indoors to out.

Welcome in.

  • Modern multi-story house with wooden exterior, illuminated interior, outdoor staircase, and glass balcony at dusk.

    The House.

Malibu is set in the heart of Bawley Point, where the bush meets the sea. Floor-to-ceiling glass opens the home to its natural surroundings — the sound of the ocean, the sweep of the headland, and the quiet of the coastal forest. Step outside and you’re walking onto Gannet Beach.

  • A modern kitchen with wooden cabinets, a white marble countertop, and a wooden dining table with chairs. A vase with a plant is on the counter, and bowls and cups are on the table. There is a black wall cabinet, built-in oven, and an open shelf with bowls and a book. A white hanging light fixture is above the table.

    Kitchen & Living.

At the centre of Malibu is an open living and kitchen space designed for gathering. The kitchen balances beauty and function, with stone benches, integrated appliances and a layout that makes cooking and conversation effortless. Enjoy long lunches with friends, family dinners that stretch into the evening, or quiet mornings with coffee and the first light.

  • Modern bathroom with a pink tiled wall, oval mirror, white sink with wooden cabinet, wall-mounted toilet, pink striped rug, large bathtub, and a black-framed window.

    Bedrooms & Bathrooms.

Malibu sleeps up to eight guests across four bedrooms, each designed as a private retreat. The house features three bathrooms and four toilets, including the signature pink bathroom, and a full laundry for extended stays. Every detail — from materials to layout — has been considered to make your time here both comfortable and refined.

Local Area – Bawley Point

We don’t want to be biased, but we think Bawley Point on Yuin Country is a true hidden gem. It has been our family’s special place for decades, and we’re so glad you get to experience it too. From quiet beaches and bushwalks to dolphins, whales, and the friendliest community you’ll ever meet, there’s always something to enjoy.

Beaches

Swim or snorkel in the calm waters of Gannet Beach and Bawley Beach, or join the surfers at Racecourse Beach. For something quieter, wander to Cat & Kitten, Bawley or Murramarang beaches or explore Pretty Beach and Pebbly Beach, where kangaroos laze on the sand.

Nature & Walks

Bawley sits at the heart of Murramarang National Park, with endless walks, tidal pools, and rainforest. Highlights include the Murramarang Aboriginal Area (the Midden), Depot Beach Rainforest Walk, and, a little further afield, Pigeon House Mountain (Didthul) with sweeping coastal views.

Wildlife & Scenery

This coastline is alive with nature. Spot dolphins, whales (in season), kangaroos, wallabies, and birdlife daily. Sunrises and moonrises are spectacular, and on a clear night the Milky Way lights up the sky.

Local Life

Bawley is all about community. Join everyone at Flo’s Coffee Caravan, grab a bite at Luci’s or Saltwood Café, or taste wine at Bawley Vale Estate.
